Facebook Developer Garage London was founded in August 2007 and is aimed at all developers, entrepreneurs, marketing professionals and enthusiasts in the London area interested in the social network platforms.

The group name changed in mid-2012 to Social Developers London, after taking on board a founder of the defunct Twitter Devnest London events, to reflect the broader coverage of social networks.
